WATCH: Casemiro involved in heated row with Bruno Fernandes after Man Utd win

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro was spotted arguing with Bruno Fernandes after their 1-0 victory over Aston Villa.

The Red Devils managed to claim an important win over Unai Emery’s side to all but confirm a spot in the top four.

But Casemiro was far from pleased with Fernandes at full-time after losing the ball with only 20 seconds left on the clock.

The Brazilian midfielder be seen in a heated argument with the Portuguese star, venting his frustrations over some careless play.

In the end, the two United players hugged it out but it showed Casemiro’s winning spirit that has had such a major impact at Old Trafford.

The former Real Madrid player left Santiago Bernabeu for United last summer and has proved a fine purchase for Erik ten Hag.

Meanwhile, Fernandes was the match-winner against Aston Villa after his first-half goal. The Portugal international raced in after Emiliano Martinez’s meek save was palmed into his direction while his shot took a deflection beyond the Argentine. Just moments before that, Jadon Sancho had told Fernandes to ‘stop moaning’ in a match where his teammates appeared out to get him.

But, his goal in the 1-0 victory was crucial to the Red Devils, who have moved nine points clear of fifth-placed Tottenham, who face Liverpool on Sunday.

Man United can now likely start preparing for next campaign in the UEFA Champions League after being absent from the competition this year.

After the game, Erik ten Hag said: “I’m very happy with the points, but also with the performance.

“It’s a very good performance against a Villa team, unbeaten for 10 games and scoring in every game. “The score could have been 3-1 or 4-1, that’s a very good performance.”
