Chelsea planning shock move for Harry Kane as Bayern issue emerges

Chelsea are reportedly considering a surprising move for Harry Kane after receiving information about his current situation at Bayern Munich.

Kane made an £82 million transfer to Bayern during the summer, concluding his lengthy spell at Spurs, where he departed as the club's all-time leading goalscorer.

The England captain has impressively netted 28 goals in 29 games for the Bavarians, but there is now speculation that he could end the season without silverware.

Bayern suffered a shock exit from the DFB Pokal at the hands of third-division side Saarbrucken in November, and their remarkable streak of 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles appears to be in jeopardy.

Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea were convincingly defeated 3-0 by Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen last week, leaving them eight points clear ahead of Bayern's next fixture.

Furthermore, Bayern endured a defeat in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Lazio, with Kane receiving a scathing match rating from German newspaper BILD.

According to Wayne Veysey of Football Insider, Chelsea are closely monitoring these developments.

Reports suggest that Chelsea have heard murmurs indicating Kane's dissatisfaction at the Allianz Arena. Although Kane has only been with Bayern for a few months, there is optimism at Chelsea that he may be interested in a swift return to the Premier League.

Having previously thrived under Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs, Kane is viewed as a potential game-changer by Chelsea.

It's believed that Chelsea would be willing to match the transfer fee paid by Bayern to secure Kane's services, seeing him as a reliable goalscorer who can significantly impact their youthful squad.

Despite Bayern's recent setbacks, Kane remains grounded and maintains belief in the team's ability to reverse their fortunes.

"We have to find it among ourselves," he told TNT Sports. "We're still in the race for the Bundesliga and still in this tie. We have to keep fighting.

"We're in a difficult spell. We have to fight. We have to turn it around. We have big games and big things to fight for. We're not out of it, we will never give up.

"We just need to turn it around. One game or spark can turn it around."
